La présente norme européenne prescrit des méthodes pour le controle de la production en usine et le controle externe de conformité des caractéristiques des panneaux à base de bois vis-à-vis des spécifications des normes européennes correspondantes. Cependant, il peut aussi être appliqué, sur l'initiative du fabricant, aux panneaux à base de bois qui ne sont pas destinés à la construction.
