La présente Norme européenne fixe les exigences générales de sécurité des sièges et tables d'extérieur à usages domestique, collectif et de camping. Elle ne s'applique pas aux rembourrages et revêtements amovibles ou au mobilier fixé de façon permanente. L'Annexe A (informative) est une présentation schématique des exigences et conditions relatives aux points de cisaillement et de pincement. L'Annexe B (informative) inclut une terminologie des mobiliers d'extérieur.
