    La présente partie de la CEI 60034 spécifie les classes de rendement pour les moteurs électrique à induction triphasés 50 Hz et 60 Hz à cage, mono vitesse et qui: - ont une tension assignée UN jusqu'à 1000 V, - ont une puissance de sortie assignée PN entre 0,75 kW et 375 kW,- ont 2, 4 ou 6 poles, - sont assignés sur la base d'un service type S1 (service continu) ou S3 (service périodique intermittent) avec un facteur de service de 80% ou plus, - sont destinés à être alimentés directement à partir du réseau industriel, - ont des conditions de fonctionnement assignées conforme à la CEI 60034-1, Article 6.
