La présente norme européenne spécifie la détermination de la vitesse maximale, pour une excentricité donnée au niveau des dispositifs de serrage, pour la résistance de la queue des fraises à queue cylindrique. Elle fixe également le marquage de l'outil. Elle s'applique aux fraises à queue pour le travail du bois qu'elles soient montées horizontalement ou verticalement. La présente norme complète l'EN 847-1: 1997.
