La présente norme internationale donne des exigences et des recommandations relatives à la conception, à la sélection des matériaux, à la fabrication, au controle, aux essais et à la préparation pour l'expédition des aéroréfrigérants destinés à l'utilisation dans les industries du pétrole et du gaz naturel. La présente norme internationale s'applique aux aéroréfrigérants à faisceaux horizontaux, les concepts de base peuvent cependant également s'appliquer à d'autres configurations.
