    La présente partie de l'ISO 14509 spécifie les procédures d'évaluation du bruit émis par les bateaux de plaisance monocoques motorisés de longueur de coque inférieure ou égale à 24 m, et dont le nombre de Froude est supérieur à 1,1. Elle n'est pas applicable aux motos aquatiques (VNM). La présente partie de l'ISO 14509 spécifie la détermination du niveau de pression acoustique pondéré A, en combinant une méthode de calcul et une méthode de mesure.
