La présente Norme internationale prescrit une méthode pour la détermination de la tranche granulométrique d'une prise d'essai de noir de carbone qui peut passer à travers un tamis de 125 pico m d'ouverture de mailles dans des conditions spécifiées (c'est-à-dire la teneur en matières fines). Elle est applicable à tous les types de noir de carbone en granules destinés à l'industrie du caoutchouc.
