    La présente partie de l'ISO 5725 spécifie quatre mesures intermédiaires de fidélité dues à des changements des conditions de mesure (temps, étalonnage, opérateur et équipement) dans un laboratoire. Ces mesures intermédiaires peuvent être établies par une expérience dans un laboratoire donné ou par une expérience interlaboratoires. Par ailleurs, la présente partie de l'ISO 5725: a) discute des implications des définitions des mesures intermédiaires de fidélité; b) présente des lignes directrices pour l'interprétation et l'application des estimations des mesures intermédiaires de fidélité dans des situations pratiques; c) ne donne aucune mesure des erreurs d'estimation des mesures intermédiaires de fidélité; d) ne s'occupe pas de la détermination de la justesse de la méthode de mesure elle-même, mais discute des liens entre la justesse et les conditions de mesure.
