    Ce Document d'harmonisation s'applique pour l'identification des conducteurs des câbles et cordons souples et rigides pour lesquels la tension assignée n'excède pas la limite supérieure au domaine de tension II (selon HD 193). Ce HD s'applique aux: - installations électriques, - réseaux de distribution, - alimentations des matériels fixes ou mobiles, et - cordons pour matériels portatifs. NOTE: Pour les réseaux de distribution, le marquage par nombres est permis. Ce HD ne s'applique pas aux: - câbles ou conducteurs isolés utilisés à l'intérieur de matériels électriques ou de tableaux assemblés en usine fabriqués selon leur propres normes européennes, ou - câbles et cordons utilisés pour les applications courant continu, ou - câbles et cordons ayant plus de conducteurs qu'indiqué dans les tableaux 1 et 2, ou - circuits prévus pour une utilisation autre que la seule alimentation de matériels de puissance, ou - lignes aériennes couvertes et conducteurs aériens isolés selon le HD 626.
