Le présent document définit la désignation des fonds bombés elliptiques et donne les dimensions, la surface, le volume et la masse de chaque fond. Le présent document définit les dimensions normalisées des fonds bombés à méridienne elliptique. pour ces fonds normalisés, le rapport du grand axe au petit axe de l'ellipse méridienne qui engendre la surface intérieure du fond est égal à 1,9. Il s'applique aux fonds bombés destinés particulièrement à la fabrication des appareils à pression.
