    La norme s'applique aux chambres de télécommunications manufacturées, mécaniquement autosuffisantes et à leurs accessoires, destinées à la réalisation en travaux neufs, de lignes souterraines de télécommunications. Les chambres peuvent être placées sous: - chaussées (classe C); - trottoirs et parkings (classe T); - espaces verts collectifs (classe Vc) ou domestiques (classe Vd). Dans le cas d'un dispositif de fermeture comprenant un cadre, celui-ci peut être: - scellé en usine directement sur la chambre; - pré-scellé en usine dans la zone de couronnement adaptée; - scellé sur site.
