This standard specifies the minimum design, performance, and acceptance criteria for aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicles intended to transport personnel and equipment to the scene of an aircraft emergency for the purpose of rescuing occupants and conducting rescue and firefighting operations.
