La présente norme spécifie une méthode de détermination de a) la résistance à la compression et la déformation relative correspondante; ou b) la contrainte en compression à 10 % de déformation relative des matériaux alvéolaires rigides. NOTE: Les matériaux alvéolaires rigides n'étant pas parfaitement élastiques, le calcul d'un module d'élasticité en compression n'a pas un sens précis. Néanmoins on peut calculer sur demande la valeur d'un module conventionnel de compression entre 2 valeurs conventionnellement définies (voir annexe 2).
