La présente norme décrit une méthode de dénombrement des Escherichia coli présumés dans les coquillages vivants (mollusques bivalves, échinodermes, tuniciers et gastéropodes d'eau de mer ou d'eau douce) au moyen de la technique de culture en milieu liquide avec calcul du nombre le plus probable (NPP) après incubation à 37 degrés C, puis à 44 degrés C.
