Defines safety requirements and verification for design and construction of hand held integrally driven powered hedge trimmers, intended for use by one operator for hedge and bush trimming using one or more linear reciprocating cutter blades. Does not apply to hedge trimmers having rotating blades or powered by backpack or other external means. Batteries or battery-powered hedge trimmers are not covered.
