Together with ISO 15004, defines minimum requirements and test procedures for trial frames for holding trial case lenses conforming with ISO 9801 in front of a subject's eyes so as to assess visual acuity and facilitate optical vision correction. Applies to lens holders mounted on headbands, bracket-mounted frames and frames mounted in the manner of spectacles which have supports on the ears and bridge of the nose. Applies to all kinds of trial frames, including half-eye and rotating lens holders. Does not apply to refractor heads.
