Der Anwendungsbereich dieser ÖNORM umfasst alle Mauersteine aus werkmässig gefertigtem Porenbeton - für tragendes Mauerwerk gemäss ÖNORM B 3350 und der ÖNORMEN-Serie prEN 1996 (EUROCODE 6) und - für nichttragendes Mauerwerk gemäss ÖNORM B 3358-1 und - 4, die zur Herstellung von Mauerwerk im Hoch- und Tiefbau bestimmt sind. Diese ÖNORM gilt nicht für geschosshohe Tafeln aus Porenbeton.
