Dieser Teil der EN 13451 legt sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen für Sprungplattformen, Sprungbrettanlagen und zugehörige Geräte zusätzlich zu den allgemeinen sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen nach EN 13451-1:2001 fest und muss in Verbindung damit gelesen werden. Dieser Teil der EN 13451 gilt für werksmässig hergestellte Sprungplattformen, Sprungbrettanlagen und zugehörige Geräte zum Gebrauch in öffentlichen Schwimmbädern.
