Dieser Teil der Internationalen Norm legt ein System zum Bewerten des Ausmasses von Filiformkorrosion, die von einem Ritz ausgeht, fest. Gemessen werden die Länge des längsten Fadens L und die häufigste Menge von Fäden M. Die Vergleichsbilder im Anhang A dieses Teiles der Norm verdeutlichen unterschiedliche Einteilungen für die Länge des längsten Fadens L und die häufigste Menge von Filiformfäden M. Ein Vergleich der Probenplatten mit den 12 Bildern im Anhang A ersetzt nicht die verbindliche numerische Bewertung (Verfahren 1 oder 2).
