Diese Internationale Norm legt Masse und Grenzabweichungen für Punktschweiss-Elektrodenkappen fest, bei denen ein Innenkegel (siehe ISO 1089) verwendet wird, um die Elektrodenkappen auf dem Elektrodenschaft (siehe ISO 5183-1 und ISO 5183-2) zu befestigen. Sie gilt nur für Elektrodenkappen, für welche die Elektrodenkraft FE, die für den Durchmesser d1 in Tabelle 2 und Tabelle A.2 angegeben ist, nicht überschritten wird.
