Behandelt sind Anforderungen an und Prüfmethoden für Hauptstellendruckregler für Schweissen, Schneiden und verwandte Prozesse. Diese Hauptstellendruckregler werden üblicherweise für verdichtete Gase bis 300 bar (30 MPa), für gelöstes Acetylen, für Methylacetylen-Propadien- Gemische (MPS) und Kohlenstoffdioxid (CO2) zur Regelung des Druckes am Ausgang von Hochdruckleitungen in Flaschenbatterieanlagen verwendet. Nicht behandelt sind unmittelbar an Gasflaschen angebrachte Druckregler, wie in ISO 2503 enthalten, oder Druckregler für Flüssiggase.
