Sie ist für Bindungs-Prüfeinrichtungen mit Drehmomentmessung anzuwenden. Sie ist möglicherweise nicht geeignet für nicht-mechanische Bindungen oder Bindungen, die zusammen mit Skischuhen verwendet werden, die bis über die Hälfte der Unterschenkel reichen.
