Diese ÖNORM legt Methoden zur Sicherung von Ladungen auf Transportfahrzeugen im Strassen-, Schienen- und Schiffsverkehr gegen die beim Transport auftretenden Kräfte fest. Sie sollte den Verantwortlichen für Verladung und Transport grundlegende Hinweise und Empfehlungen für die sichere Verbindung zwischen Ladung und Transportmittel geben. Diese ÖNORM kann aber auch z. B. für die Bildung von Ladeeinheiten (Stauen in Containern, Sicherung von Palettenladungen) sinngemäss angewendet werden.
