Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM behandelt die Sicherheit elektrischer Toiletten, in denen Exkremente aufgenommen, getrocknet oder vernichtet werden und deren Bemessungsspannung nicht mehr als 250 V beträgt. Beispiele für elektrische Ausrüstungen sind: automatische Abdeckungseinrichtungen des Sitzes; Zerkleinerungseinrichtungen; Sitzheizungen; Pumpen; Wassererwärmer für Sprühvorrichtungen.
