    Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM beschreibt Verfahren für die Bestimmung und Nachprüfung angegebener Werte der Geräuschemission von Geräten für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Zwecke und gilt für alle elektrischen Geräte für den Hausgebrauch und ähnliche Zwecke entsprechend IEC 60704-1 und IEC 60704-2 mit Sonderanforderungen für spezielle Gerätearten. Sie gilt für Geräte, die aus einer Massenfertigung (Serien, Chargen, Lose) kommen und nach den gleichen technischen Unterlagen gefertigt worden sind und den gleichen Geräuschangabewert haben.
