Der vorliegende Teil von ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 62040 gilt für unterbrechungsfreie Stromversorgungssysteme (USV) mit Speichereinrichtungen für elektrische Energie im Gleichstromzwischenkreis. Er ist im Zusammenhang mit ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 60950-1 anzuwenden, auf die in dieser Norm als 'RD' (Referenzdokument) verwiesen wird.
