Supplies guidance on all private telecommunication cabling installations, inside or outside buildings. Particularly describes cabling within a private telecommunications system for connection to public telecommunications systems, but also concerns cabling within private systems unconnected to a public system. Does not describe cabling within a public telecommunications system. Gives guidance on private systems and cabling in general; relevance of legislation to cabling; the UK and European technical standards which apply to cabling and responsibilities of those involved in specification, operation, use and installation, or maintaining cabling. Does not give legal interpretation of UK or European legislation, but is merely advisory. Information applies only to the United Kingdom.
