Focusing aids and rangefinders used in or on photographic still and motion-picture cameras are described in this standard. It gives methods for testing their accuracy and specifying their performance. Optical systems that are built into cameras either as separate systems coupled to taking lenses, or reference screens (microprisms, etc) that are located within viewfinders of single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras in which taking lens is the finder objectives are covered for the most part of this standard.
