Defines two procedures for the determination of the melt flow rate of thermoplastic materials under specified conditions of temperature and load are specified, i.e. the procedure A (a mass-measurement method) for the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and the procedure B (a displacement-measurement method) for the melt volume-flow rate (MVR).
