This specification covers copper, copper-zinc, and copper-phosphorus alloys for use in brazing ferrous and nonfereous base metals. Copper-phosphorus brazing alloys shall not be used on ferrous alloys or on alloys containing more than 10 percent of nickel because of the adverse effects of the phosphorus content (see 6.1).
