    This part of the Handbook deals generally with fire matters relating to electrical equipment considered by various Standards Australia committees.The Handbook lists individual Standards and Codes published by Standards Australia, and identifies appropriate procedures and documents prepared by other Australian organizations. It is also a general guide directing users to other Standards dealing in detail with specific areas of fire testing, protection and fire regulation in electrical equipment.The Handbook does not provide mandatory requirements on fire matters but advises the user on the applicability of State, Territory and local government regulations.
