1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel-iron alloy in the form of bars, forgings, and flash-welded rings 5.0 inches (127 mm) and under in nominal diameter, or least distance between parallel sides, and stock of any size for forging or flash-welded rings (see 8.6). 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for parts, such as turbine discs, shafts, and blades, requiring higher strength than AMS5660 up to 1400 °F (760 °C) and oxidation resistance up to 1600 °F (871 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications.
