Specifies a low-alloy steel in the form of bars, forgings, mechanical tubing, and forging stock. Mainly for bearing components 0.600 inch (15.24 mm) and under in nominal thickness, such as bearing balls and rolls, needing a through-hardening steel, usually with hardness of approximately 60 HRC.
