Bibliography
Provides simple procedures for thermal design of building foundations on frost-susceptible grounds including buildings with slab-on-ground floors and suspended floors, inorder to avoid frost heave. Also applicable to heated and unheated buildings, and climates having annual average air temperature above 0 deg C. Not applicable to cold stores, ice rinks, situations like roads, underground water pipes needing frost protection, and permafrost areas having annual average air temperature below 0 deg C.
