Applies for not rolled bars, ribbed and grooved spring steel, wire rod, wide flats, strip and semi-finished products of spring steels. The standard specifies the requirements concerning e.g. manufacturing process, heat treatment and surface conditions at the time of delivery, chemical composition, maximum hardness, hardenability, inner and outer soundness. The standard includes specifications for testing and marking the products.
