Establishes a test plan for Line Unit Network Termination (LUNT) and a Line Unit Line Termination (LULT) for use in Universal Digital Loop Carrier (UDLC) and Universal Digital Channel Bank (UDCB) Central Office Terminals (COTs) and Remote Digital Terminals (RDTs), respectively. The objective of the test plan is to identify LULT/LUNT Characteristics that, in Telcordia's view, will satisfactorily support operation of ISDN BRA through a UDLC or UDCB system (over a T1 Carrier facility), and help ensure a high degree of operability of the LUNT with multiple switch suppliers' LTs (including the switch operations system that supports this LT).
