Purpose of this agreement is to enable nations to conduct planning and implementation of S3 assessment testing of large calibre ammunition greater than 40mm to enable appropriate evidence to be collected covering the entire life cycle. The objective of the safety test program is to provide data to demonstrate that the munition will be 'safe for use'.
