Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements and objectives for fiber optic stripping tools that should be met in order to meet the typical needs of Bellcore Client Companies (BCCs). This TA has been written to include multi-fiber (ribbon) stripping tools. This TA provides criteria for analyzing single and multi-fiber stripping tools that are used to remove the coating from single and multiple fibers. The TA includes requirements for the tool, analyzing the tensile strength of stripped fibers and environmental testing to simulate field conditions
