Bellcore's preliminary view of the generic requirements for supporting SONET Path Protection Switched Ring management functions at the OS/NE and NE/NE interfaces in an OSI communications environment. These functions appear in the form of a SONET Path Protection Switched Ring information model which defines the characteristics of network resources in a path protection switched ring, as well as the information that is conveyed between NEs and and OSs. This information is expressed using ISO GDMO templates. This document satisfies Deliverable 009 of Project 1W0211.
