12-01-2013
Contains Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic requirements for AIN Release 1 Switch-Service Control Point (SCP)/ Adjunct Application Protocol Interface. This application protocol interface is a set of procedures, messages, and parameters that facilitate the communications between applications in separate physical entities to provide services in an AIN Release 1 architecture. The application layer protocol is based on the ANSI Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP) Application Service Element (ASE). Abstract Syntax Notation 1 (ASN.1), as defined in CCITT Recommendation X.208, is used to describe the ANSI TCAP messages that are sent over the interface.
