TA NWT 001203 : ISSUE 3

This proposes generic requirements for SWF-DS1/ISDN Network Traffic Management (NTM). The requirements include NTM automatic controls, NTM manual controls, NTM surveillance data, NTM reference data, the NTM operations system/network element interface, and NTM auxiliary capabilities. Presents a new approach for SWF-DS/ISDN NTM and then details a set of proposed generic requirements/objectives. Required controls include Automatic Congestion Control, manual Code Control and manual Trunk Group Control. For completeness, the controls needed for narrowband traffic, but either not recommended or not applicable to SWF-DS/ISDN service, are also discussed in this document.
