Describes proposed maintenance requirements for Common Channel Signaling (CCS) switching systems, which in Bellcore's view should be met in order to meet the typical needs of a BOC, CCS switching systems are end offices, tandem switches, or operator services systems which have the capability to generate, receive and process CCS switching systems are similar to those of other Stored Program Control Systems in the Operating Company central office environment. These requirements are best described by LATA-Switching System Generic Requirements (LSSGR). Therefore, the outline for defining maintenance requirements for CCS switching systems are modeled after the LSSGR.
