A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Measures (1) output jitter at hierarchical interfaces, and (2) intrinsic jitter generated by individual digital equipment. Measurements of output jitter may be in terms of rms and peak-to-peak amplitudes over designated frequency ranges and may require statistical characterization.
