ELECTRICAL PERFORMANCE FOR TELEVISION TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS
12-01-2013
Specifies the minimal transmission performance characteristics, consistent with good engineering practice, of television transmission systems for transmission of 525-line NTSC color or monochrome video and associated audio signals suitable for television broadcasting or for similar application. These limits are used for the acceptance of new systems or restoration of existing systems after maintenance. It should be noted that transmission systems utilize analog digital, or a mixture of analog and digital techniques. Definitions, standards, and methods of measurement are given for both the video and related audio signals being carried from a few hundred feet to thousands of miles, including satellite transmission.
