MEASUREMENT OF BREAKAWAY FRICTIONAL FORCE IN FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR ALIGNMENT SLEEVES

Published date

12-01-2013

Sorry this product is not available in your region.

Covers the measurement of breakaway frictional force between the sleeve in fiber optic connectors and the ferrule. The contact force between the mating ferrules in an optical connector is the difference between the friction force between the ferrule and the sleeve, and the spring force of the connector. The friction force must remain below the spring force to maintain contact.
