Investigates the possibilities of integrating the functionalities of the DECT and GSM parts of dual-mode terminals further than is done in the first edition of TBR 39. Includes the issues of having both modes active at the same time, swapping of the higher layers and handover between the modes. Also network aspects of the use of advanced dual-mode terminals is considered. The same consideration should be made for dual-mode terminals and infrastructure for DECT/DCS1800 as well as triple-mode terminals.
