Presents Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for a set of generic messages to convey network traffic management information between Network Elements (NEs) & a Network Traffic Management (NTM) Operations System (OS). The information contained in this document is intended to support traffic management functions in the NEs, & to allow NEs to interface directly with a NTM OS. The focus of this document is to provide a set of services & a model for communication across this interface. The ISO Guidelines for the Definition of Managed Objects (GDMO) were used to present this model. This document may be ordered with a diskette containing GDMO templates and ASN.1 production module information that is provided in the TR.
