This TR describes Bellcore's view of IntraLATA (Local Access and Transport Area) Private Line Services (IPLS) that may be appropriate for end-to-end and voice-band applications. Sufficient technical detail is furnished to allow a customer to select a channel service to incorporate into an end-to-end communications network. A key objective of this TR is to discuss the capability for Bellcore Client Companies (BCCs) offerings for IntraLATA Private Line Service (IPLS). Several service alternatives/configurations are discussed, but individual Local Exchange Carriers (LECs) will determine which offerings will be tariffed.
