Presents Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) on ac power circuits that in Bellcore's view are needed for proper service & maintenance performance. The SPDs are intended for indoor use at the service entrance location, installed on the load side of the ac power service disconnect, & operating at rated voltages of 600 Vrms or less, for single-phase or three-phase systems.
