X.25 CALL REDIRECTION AND CALL DEFLECTION GENERIC REQUIREMENTS

Published date

12-01-2013

Defines requirements for Packet Switches (PSs), Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Packet Handler Functions (PHFs) and Access Concentrators (ACs) to support Call Redirection and Call Deflection capabilities. These capabilities are used to redirect incoming packet calls to another number on a per-call or systematic basis. When Call Redirection is assigned, the network will redirect incoming calls to an alternate Directory Number (DN) and the subscriber does not receive an incoming call packet as a notification of the incoming call. In Call Deflection, the switch offers the call to the originally called DN by sending the user an incoming call packet and the user response by instructing the switch to redirect the call.
